More than 100 HK artistes to send warmth to Japanese

According to Hong Kong media, the Hong Kong showbiz will continue from Taiwan showbiz to raise funds for the Japan earthquake victims, the event titled Love Without Boundaries 311 Candle Gala (literally translated) will be held next week at Victoria Park. Eric Tsang, Jackie Chan, John Shum had been tasked to gather people, as more than 100 artistes which includes artistes of TVB, ATV, Phoenix TV, RTHK, Commercial Radio, Metro Radio, nowtv, MATV and singers from major record companies will meet up on 24 March evening at RTHK to record the event’s theme song. Eric revealed that the theme song’s lyrics will be adapted from a Japanese poem and there will be Mandarin and Japanese version.

It is understand that the 4 Heavenly Kings Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung and Leon Lai are not in Hong Kong, but for the recording and fund raising event, they would try their best to re-arrange their schedule. Currently the artistes that confirmed their attendance were Miriam Yeung, Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, Alan Tam and Wynners, Kay Tse, Joey Yungm Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Eason Chan and others.

The candle light gala date will be held next week but the date need to be confirmed after discussion with the police and government departments. The venue of the event will be Victoria Park, it’s expected to last three hours from 7 – 11 pm, the main activity will be singing, nevertheless the date will be either on 31 March, 1 or 2 April. It is hope that most of the artiste would make it to the event.
