Last week, Andy Lau’s management company Focus Artiste sent a legal letter to a 60-years-old man of the same name for the copyright issues of his roast duck restaurant ‘Liu De Hua Roast Duck Restaurant’ in Sichuan Chongzhou. The letter stated that the restaurant’s registered name affected Andy’s image and request the name to be changed, this matter resulted in a stir as many think that the owner of the restaurant is older than Andy and it had been in business for 30 years.
Focus Artiste made an announcement yesterday that it never sent any lawyer’s letter nor file a lawsuit against the restaurant, it only request the ‘Liu De Hua’ branding registered in Trademark Office State Administration for Industry and Commerce People’s Republic of China to be changed, it’s believed that the office will made its decision after checking with both parties.
Meanwhile, Andy expressed: “He’s already a 68 years old grandpa, the branding had been around for a long time,” he also urge fans not to worry about this matter.
