It was said that the latest chairman of the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild will be Andy Lau, however due to the last year’s “marriage denial” resulted to him unable to take up the role and Eric Tsang become the chairman.

With regards to the allegation, Eric denied as he said: “I also thought that the latest chairman would be Andy, if he would to take part in the voting, he would have become the chairman with the highest number of votes, but he told us that he’s very busy as he had many work commitments this years and could only took over two years later, he took his own initiative to give up. However, Andy is also worried of the successor, he hope that the younger artistes could become the successor.”

When talked about the younger artiste, Eric expressed that Nicholas Tse is not a bad choice, however he does not want to give himself too much pressure.
