Stars gathered at Victoria Harbour

Alan Tam, Andy Lau, Joey Yung, Hacken Lee were invited to be the performing artistes for the East Asian Games opening ceremony. They performed at the stage at Victoria Harbour, together with dancers, models and children, they present the active Hong Kong and give blessing to Hong Kong to continue to create miracles. They felt honored to perform and hope that everyone could spread the warm hospitality of the Chinese, and put aside all negativity in the past.

Andy performed at the third segment – Blessing to Hong Kong, the floating stage was filled with white lights as he appeared as a Prince Charming, dressed in all white to sing ‘Ru Guo You Yi Tian’, Hong Kong’s well known violist Li Chuan Yun played the music and some models wearing specially designed costume also appeared on the stage to show off a beautiful scene on the stage.

Andy feel that hosting the East Asian Games in Hong Kong is like hosting an activity at his doorstep, he’s delighted to be able to participate and do his part. He was excited when told that Hong Kong sportsman Steven Wong won the first gold medal.

With regards to the negative news prior to the East Asian Games in Hong Kong, he pointed out that Hong Kong is not experienced in hosting major sports events, but with everybody’s support, it will become better slowly. He thinks that when everyone blame the Hong Kong government, it’s like casting the Hong Kong sportsmen aside. Everyone should be more forgiving and develop the warm hospitality of the Chinese. When asked if he was asking all to support him, he said: “Thanks, thanks!”
