After much negative news, Gary Cao held his Welcome to My World concert at Macao’s The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel’s Cotai Strip CotaiArena. The concert was a sold out where fans from Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Mainland China, even fans from Canada also came to watch the concert.

Andy Lau’s sons Andox and Box were one of the important special performing guests of the concert, although Andy could not attend the concert, he also specially recorded a video clip to give his blessing as he hope that Gary could bring his sons along for his world tour, he end his video with: “You must remember, I, will, forever support you!!” These words touched Gary to tears having gone through so many recently as he’s touched of Andy’s encouragement.

Other than duet ‘Ben Xiao Hai’ with Andox and Box, they perform a short dance and also sang a song to heat up the atmosphere.

The first 100 episodes idol drama Andox & Box go the direction of comedy, it would be laughter right to the end. In Mainland China’s first “imaginary idols” – Andox and Box are both performers with their own comedian characteristics, able to make one laugh till the end, there would be some ten minutes of laughter in each episode, when compared to 60 minutes non-stopping fighting in Bodyguards and Assassins, each production has its own magic works. Director Lu Xiaoping said: “The active Box always failed to concentrate, he is easily disturbed by outsiders during acting. Whereas the quiet Andox is too quiet as his performance in front of the camera is weak, his actions is small, could not find any feel as an actor.”

As it was their first time as leads, it’s a huge pressure for Andox and Box, without any acting experience, they slow down the filming crew’s planning. Due to their body shape and face without any expression, thus making it hard for them to show off their emotions, they also could not locate where is the camera, thus experiencing frequent NGs.

Andox and Box have many dialogues and need to express many emotions, thus this give them a lot of problems. The biggest problem is their dialogues are not expressive enough, there are no feelings in the dialogues, read according to the script, this could not create the character and this also give problems to the actors acting opposite them. It seems that Andox and Box did not inherit their “mother” Andy’s acting, Andy also could not help Andox and Box through this difficult stage, it does not look good at the studio.

The first 100 episodes magical idol TV drama in Mainland China – Andox and Box held its start shooting press conference in Beijing on 16 October. Directors Lu Xiaoping, Zhang Yan and actors Andox, Box, Zhang Hanyun, Shao Feng were present. Andox and Box’s “mother” Andy Lau was also present to show support to his sons, they also displayed that they are a happy family.

Andox and Box is a idol drama tailor made for Andox and Box, at the beginning of the press conference, both of them jumped excitedly onto the stage. Although they have a simple image, but they does not have any problems hiding their expression as the secrets falls on the horns on their head, when they’re angry it would be upright whereas when they’re happy it would be moving away, their cuteness attracts screams from the fans.

Everybody know that Andox and Box are dancing experts, actually they are also skilled in martial arts. Following ‘Nan Er Dang Zi Qiang’ music, Andox and Box performed swordplay, although they looked clumsy during the swordplay due to their round body but they have the style and swordman’s charisma.

Andox and Box also brought a surprise to everybody as their “mother” Andy specially came over to support them and also brought along a bouquet of big wheat with the meaning of top ratings. When talked about the first TV drama and the future of his sons, a proud Andy said: “They are stars, at home they wanted me to watch them perform and they do not want to watch me perform.” To prove what Andy saying is true, Andox and Box sang the theme song of the drama – Ni Hao Ma? and their performance proves that they are indeed the children of a celebrity.

After the press conference, media rushed towards the stage and their target is to interview Andy, thus the directors and other cast swiftly made an exit. Comparing with media of Hong Kong and Taiwan, the Mainland China media asked questions more related to the drama Andox and Box, everybody seems to see a collaboration between mother and sons, but Andy would not cameo in the drama and also not give them any suggestions on acting, he said: “They already have good teachers.”

The media also asked about being named as Showbiz Bad Men in a Singapore radio survey, Andy replied: “Everybody have smooth and unsuccessful days, to me I just live by them. In addition, I know many people are still supporting me.”

“Subtraction Life” Green Festival is the first earth conservation activity initiated by the public in Mainland China, its aim is to promote a “green lifestyle, lend a helping hand to minimize damage to the earth”. The artiste that were present at the activity brought some green element to their outfit, Andox and Box also took some time to dress up as they paste a green heart on their chest. Andox said: “Everyone know that the heart is red in color, but I’m telling everybody, our world is not only black and white, there’s also green, only we have an earth conservative heart, the world will be fill with green.”

In the activity, Andox and Box were the special guest as they sing their “mother’s” classic song ‘Zhong Guo Ren’. Being China’s first imaginary idols, Andox and Box have always appeared with active, healthy and charity image, learning from “mother” Andy Lau to spread the message of earth conservation. When performing, they also did not forget about earth conservation as Andox whom was drenched in sweat said: “During rehearsal, performance and activities, we prepared many towels, this would minimize the wastage of tissue paper.”

Other than the day of the activity, Andox and Box had also distributed many recycle bag which bare images of them, telling people to use a simple way to do green life charity. The brothers are very attentive toward earth conservation, Andox said: “When I and my brother were out of our hime, we would shut off our water dispenser, to save electricity, we would also off it when we sleep.” The mischievous Box imitate the dialogue in the movie: “When we went strolling in the park when we are boring, we would avoid the grass and flowers because our legs are huge, flowers and grass are living things too, stepping on them would not be good.”

Ever since Andy Lau brought his sons – Andox and Box into Mainland China, recently there was news that Zhejiang TV would be investing millions to produce the first 100 episodes idol drama for Andox and Box. Andy is also looking closely at the script as he become the consultant for his sons.

The 100 episode idol drama will narrates about a group of aliens with refreshing characters and special powers, they were on board a lost control spaceship that was flying aimlessly in outer space and the sudden incidents happened during that period.

Andox and Box will be a long lost twins, Andox character is intelligent and determined, whereas the mischievous Box would be active and keen to know more things, he also enjoy to create trouble. Although Andy had a tight schedule thus unable to join in the drama, but he would be passing his acting experience to them.

It is said that the shooting will start in the middle of October and end in January 2010.

Around 4:00pm on 28 August, heavenly king Andy Lau will appear at Hangzhou Grand Theatre. This will be Andy whom had been in Malaysia recently first public appearance as he’s specially in Hangzhou to participate in Zhejiang TV’s China Blue first anniversary station song launch ceremony and shooting of the music video.

Other than Andy, Mainland China first line actress Fan Bingbing, TVB’s Ada Choi will be flying over for several activities and send their congratulations to Zhejiang TV.

It is understand that Andy will be bringing along his sons to perform the China Blue launch ceremony and will reveal the China Blue station theme song that he wrote for the station. On 29 August, he will participate in the shooting of the station theme song music video.

The station theme song is written and composed by Andy, from the first idea to the final collaboration, Andy did it all by himself. Andox and Box will also perform the song. At the 28 August launch ceremony, Andy, Andox and Box will perform the long anticipated station theme song. On 29 August, Andy will brought along his sons to join up with Zhejiang TV comperes crew to reveal the mystery China Blue mascot and join the music video shooting with Super Singing’s Top 10.

Other than the collaboration in the station theme song, Zhejiang TV and Andy will also have a series of in-depth collaborations. From our understanding, Andy’s creation – the Andox and Box drama serial will also have its world premiere at Zhejiang TV.

In the Sing for Love charity event to be telecast on ahtv on 24 July, Andy Lau and his sons – Andox and Box will be “performing together beyond dimensions” as they performed together with a dance troupe for the ‘Zhong Guo Niu’ dance number coordinated by Andy, they also displayed their new skills on stage, bringing the atmosphere of the event to new heights.

Despite on location shooting Detective Dee in Hengdian, whenever there is free time, Andy would direct Andox and Box the dance steps via telephone. To design and coordinate the new dance number, Andy also rehearse the dance step while wearing his costume in front of the crew members whom also gave suggestions to improve the dance number. For a successful performance, Andy’s reminder to Andox and Box: “Don’t be nervous when you could not follow up to the dance steps, get into position and you will slowly get back into the rhythm. There must also be eye contact with the audience and not get blinded by the spot lights…” All the reminders from Andy shown in the performance by Andox and Box during the performance in Sing For Love.

The theme for the program is happy music, other than Andox and Box, there are also Jane Zhang and Miriam Yeung for the recording.

Andox and Box showed off all their talent to win the hearts of the audience, they did a parody of Infernal Affairs, performed fan swinging and dancing with sword for the first time. The compere become fans of the brothers on the spot. Jane Zhang exclaimed: “Today’s stage belong to these 2 fellows, their performance is outstanding, I’m attracted by them!” Miriam was also made to burst into laughter by them, she sing praise of their high popularity and said that she would invite them to be special performing guests for her concerts.
