Andy appeared in 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

It was the last day of 2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on 2 May, superstar Andy Lau appeared at the Acura booth in a causal western suit to become the car model of the day thus becoming the spokesman of the new Acura TL.

Fans whom heard the news of Andy appearing had surrounded the booth with hands holding light-sticks awaiting for his arrival. Several kids were sitting on the shoulder of their father to have a good view, some girls even allowed their boyfriends to carry them also to give them a better view. When the gate of the W1 hall was closed by security, a total number of 4000 gather to see Andy. The commercial was broadcast on the huge screen, Andy only appeared after the commercial ended.

Andy’s appearance stirred up the atmosphere of the W1 hall where the Acura booth was, this is the last high point of the exhibition.

Acura TL has the tag of “the most exciting vehicle in history”, other than its 285 horsepower, it also provides top class elegant and controlling, the driver will surely fall in love with it. More than 100 Acura owners were present, despite their different profession, but their driving enjoyment and attitude towards lifestyle are the same.

With regards to the feeling of driving the Acura, Andy could not forget how he personally drove the car in San Francisco during the shooting of the commercial, “The most obvious feeling is that TL is able to sense and react to the driver’s control, the accelerator and steering response are also very responsive, especially when you floored the accelerator, you could feel the car is full of power to accelerate forward. Currently I still can remember the streets and road of San Francisco, the feeling of driving on Golden Gate Bridge.”

Upon hearing what Andy had said, the other owners of TL all applause in agreement. In addition, the interior of the TL also leave a deep impression to him, he said: “TL is equipped with a sporty body and I loved the accelerating feeling, its interior is also well designed.”

With regards to his wine manor character in the commercial, Andy expressed that he still reminisces the character, he said: “The commercial was shot at a famous winery in San Francisco, during the shooting I could feel the elegant favor at the winery, this fits Acura TL very well. I feel that fellow owners of Acura TL will think likewise, because we are all young at heart, we loved new challenges.”

Andy’s appearance not only increase the popularity of Acura, his sincere dialogue also cause those present to fall in love with the car. Since Andy became the spokesman of the car, he had held dialogues for the car in exhibition in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing respectively, sharing his experience of driving the car, his life enjoyment attitude, allowing TL to stand out in the elegant car category to become a car of taste and character.

Andy enjoy hot spring with snow monkey

In the latest series of Oolong tea commercial, Andy Lau got to appear with Nagano, Japan’s snow monkey and Kushiro, Japan’s red-crowned crane.

In the commercial, Andy enjoyed himself in an outdoor hot spring while drinking the tea, but the snow monkey wanted to snatch the tea from Andy.

When Andy fall asleep while in hot spring, the snow monkey also followed his actions.

Andy Lau appeared at Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition

In the afternoon of 27 November, as the spokesman for TL, Andy Lau walked onto the Acura booth. Follow up to his appearance in April’s 13th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, Andy came to the 7th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition to share his beautiful affinity with TL and his understanding of cars and life.

TL is the top model of Acura, since its launch late last year, its outlook, horsepower and perfect handling had won the hearts of consumers. The brand new commercial of TL is also different from other cars’ commercial as it used movie method to bring out the story, the understanding of life of the female and male lead and the charisma of the car blend together.

In the commercial, Andy is a wine manor in San Francisco and an owner of TL, using his high standard taste, active lifestyle and pursuit of love to win over the hearts of audience, TL is also promoted to all consumers.

In the commercial, the strong characteristic of the TL was displayed, showing off its 285 horsepower, allowing TL to sped off at the streets of San Francisco, mountainous roads, Golden Gate Bridge.

Personally driving the TL during the shooting of the commercial, the scenarios are still fresh in Andy’s mind, “Holding onto the steering wheel, you really could feel the carefree driving enjoyment.” Andy also sing praise of the outlook of the car: “I really like the sporty body of the TL, they are also very serious of the internal design, every part shows off activeness.”

At the activity, other than sharing his driving experience, he also express what TL represent in life: “TL don’t just bring us sporty and elegant driving experience, its a set yourself free to enjoy life happiness.”

The owners of TL belongs to such a group of people, career and life equally divided, having a young heart, like to take up new challenges, they would be able to admire the special attraction of the TL. In the eyes of Andy, the owners of TL would be similar to the wine manor he played in the commercial, not a shower and not losing one’s charisma.

Andy’s appearance allow TL to become the most popular car in Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition.

After two years, Carson Yeung returns with fresh approach for Birmingham City of £70 million to gain full control of the club, in hope of becoming the first English Premier League club Chinese boss.

In order to increase the popularity of Birmingham City in the Chinese community thus making it into the most popular football club among Chinese, Carson had the intention of hiring Andy Lau as its image ambassador, thus making Andy to become the first Hong Kong artiste to represent an English Premier League club.

Andy: It’s hard to drive and still look handsome

It was raining heavily in Shanghai on 24 April but it was still jam packed with people in E3 hall of 13th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition 2009 because heavenly king Andy Lau will be appearing at the Acura booth. It was still one hour away before the opening ceremony but the Acura had been jam packed with people waiting to catch a glimpse of the heavenly king, the organizer sent out several security guards to maintain order. Around 11:00am, following the countdown timer on the Acura’s booth stage, onlookers started to get excited and under the applause and cheers, Andy appeared on the stage.

Andy was full of smile and energetic, he appeared to be in high spirit as his presence calm the crowd. He was surprised when he noticed that all three floors had been filled with people as he started to greet all fans as he said: “I never expected so many people came here.” As per instructed by the compere, Andy and the audience watch the Acura TL commercial.

Andy’s friendliness trigger the fans’ enthusiasm as it resulted in a small commotion. Heavenly king Andy had no choice but to change his focus on the commercial onto the fans as he made used of the microphone to cool down the fans as urge all to take note of their safety and not to push to prevent any accident. In the end, the compere said: “If the commotion is beyond control, Andy will have to leave early.” Upon hearing, the fans and audience control of themselves, it can be seem of the effect of Andy on them.

“At sunset, I sitting on TL, remembering the first time meeting with her in the rain….” this is the most beautiful and romantic scene in the Acura TL commercial, it is also the proof of love between male lead Andy and female lead Guey Lun-mei. In order to bring out the inner beauty of TL, it target the driver of the car as people with taste. Acura specially invited well known Hong Kong director Andrew Lau to direct the commercial as he shoot the romantic love story like a movie.

In order to show off the taste of TL owners, the male lead Andy is a wine manor in San Francisco. This is the first time that Andy shoot a car commercial, he express: “The commercial has a top class production team, it’s like shooting a movie, I’m very satisfied with it, I’m delighted to be able to collaborate with such a high class brand like Acura.” Andy whom personally drove the vehicle himself has high praise for TL, he said: “I love the sporty body of TL, it can really give me the care-free driving experience. Driving on the urban and rural roads of San Francisco, even drove on the Golden Gate Bridge, the driving experience and beautiful scenery remain in my memory till today.” Andy also share the background story of the Acura commercial, he also expressed the attitude of life that TL represents: “The car can show the character of the driver, I feel that Acura TL is a car that can allow you to enjoy the fruitful driving experience and show off the driver’s character, therefore it is a car that can satisfy all occasions.”

Andy revealed that he got his driving license when he was 20-years-old but he had not been driving for many years, for the shooting of the Acura TL commercial, he had to drive the car himself. There is a scene in the commercial where Andy had to drive the TL round the mountainous area, Andy refuse the suggestion of a replacement driver as he insist to drive the car himself for the shooting of the scene. For not driving for several years and used to right-hand drive cars, Andy need some time to get used to the car, but he was still full of charisma in the commercial. He quipped: “It’s not difficult to drive, what’s more difficult is to remain handsome while driving.”

After his close experience with Acura TL, Andy had fall in love with the car and stress that he always has high requirements when picking commercials to shoot. As he understand that Acura is an European brand, he also managed to see Acura on the roads of Hong Kong frequently, after finding out from friends that Acura is a brand with good reviews, he decided to let Acura become the first automobile he endorsed.

Andy’s meeting time with the fans got shorten

Earlier Andy Lau appeared as a secret guest in 13th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition and attracted large number of onlookers as the three storey shopping mall was jam packed with people. The organizer arranged more than 10 security guards and crew members to maintain order, however people whom got the news kept coming into the venue as those standing behind kept pushing those standing in front, it was a chaotic scene. Andy then said on stage: “I never expected so many people came to see me.”

When Andy was being interviewed on stage, the crowd had disputes with the security guards several times, a hepless Andy had to stop his speech and said in a cool manner: “This is still chaotic, can everybody please be careful?” For safety reasons, the activity had to be stopped after just 10 minutes, Andy left without being interviewed by the media.
