Andy’s fan gathering in Japan become mini-concert

Andy Lau insisted on sharing his joy and sadness in his Andy World Club forum. In the early of August, Andy had a gathering with Japanese fans, he had not been in Japan for any gathering for 3 years and he exclaimed that he had worries of Japanese fans forgetting him, luckily their love for him remained the same. He initially scheduled to sing 3 songs but he encore for 7 times as it became a mini concert. Andy used it as a warm-up for his year-end concert, he had been busy shooting recently thus this allowed him to pick up the feeling of interacting with his fans.

Recently Andy posted a new post on the celebration of his invested film Gallants, he said that the film had surpass his target and it was an encouragement to the the cast and production team. Andy will be attending 67th Venice International Film Festival

Carina Lau who is Empress Wu in Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame, although it was nominated for competition and premiere on 5 September in 67th Venice International Film Festival. “Music industry god-father” Tai See Chung passed away last month and the funeral was held at Hong Kong Funeral Home yesterday, the body was then transported to Cape Collinson Crematoria for cremation. Tai’s family arrived early at the Hong Kong Funeral Home early, Daniel Chan, Liu Shih Kun, Andy Lau, Zhang Mingmin, Catherine Hung, Ken Tong, Winnie Yu were present to pay their respect.

Around 10:25am, Andy whom was wearing sunglasses and black samfoo arrived and immediately cause some commotion, although he did not accept any interviews but he gave a friendly wave to the media.

After the funeral, Andy held Tai’s wife hand helping her to the vehicle which will drive them to Cape Collinson Crematoria. The cremation ceremony lasted 15 minutes, upon exit Tai’s wife was held by Andy and Daniel, she still looked depressed as it seems that she had not yet recover her emotion.

All friends and relative then set off to Regal Hotel at Causeway Bay for post-funeral meal where Andy also did not accept any interview when he leave at 2.00pm.

Choi Si won, a member of the popular Korean boyband Super Junior expressed that Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau was his life savior and he initially wanted to acknowledge him as his god-father but Andy told him: “Just address me as big brother.” He revealed the special relationship between them.

When attending a Korean variety show 2 nights ago, Choi Si won said: “When shooting Battle of Wits in 2005, I befriend Andy Lau. Newly crowned Hong Kong Film Awards Best director Teddy Chan will hold a 70 table charity vegetarian banquet in association with Tung Cheng Yuen Buddhist Association on 25 April.
